Please Remember

At a recent holiday gathering, I wanted to be sure to use a serving platter that was given to me by someone who would be attending.

This became a top priority for me.

While I really like the platter, the reason it was important for me to use it was because I thought it would be very pleasing for them to see it in use.

To properly use this platter, in my mind, meant getting some very specific items from several different stores to display and showcase this gift.

While we were all together and enjoying each other’s company, I eagerly awaited and carefully observed to see their reaction to me using the platter.

There. Was. None.

No reaction.

Zilch.

It turns out that they didn’t remember giving it to me.

Amazing.

Another gentle reminder of a lesson I’ve learned before.

How easily we all forget.

Wow . . .

“Focus less on pleasing others.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!

With love,

Lucy
