Knock Knock

On my list of Home Projects, I recently wrote “Doors”. We have some with loose knobs, one that doesn’t lock properly and another that simply needs to be replaced.

We will get to it, eventually.

Until then, I was intrigued by a book I happened upon titled, “Open the Door.” Author, Joyce Rupp, shares how she was led to view the door as a potent symbol for spiritual growth.

She writes,

“When I open the door of my heart to God . . . I open myself to grow and change in ways I may never dream likely.”

The book includes daily readings/prayers/exercises for use over a six-week period. With Lent beginning this week, I thought maybe I was being called to use it as a guide for this season.

As I pondered this more, I became more and more fascinated with how Lent begins on Valentine’s Day this year.

This opens the door to countless ideas and themes for the season.

❤️ “Create in me a clean heart.”  Psalm 51:10

❤️ “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”  Saint Augustine

❤️ “Return to me with your whole heart.” Joel 2:12

No matter what the season, I believe we are called to be and to love more.

I also believe it’s time for me to deal with the doors of my home. In doing so, I feel sure that I will unlock more WOW Moments.

Wow . . .

”Be open to what’s available to you.”

Here’s to more WOW Moments!

With love,

Lucy
